Privacy

Last updated 13 October 2026.

Iron Gut is an online business based in Australia that sells recipe books at theirongut.com. This page says what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: support@theirongut.com.

What we collect

When you get the free cheat sheet or buy a plan: your email address, and your name if you give it. Orders are handled by Gumroad, which also takes the payment. The cheat sheet sign-up is handled by Klaviyo, our email service. We never see or store your card details.

When you email us: your email address and whatever you write.

When you visit this site: our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs such as your IP address and browser type, and uses them to keep the site secure. The fonts on this site load from Google, which receives your IP address when they do. We don't run advertising trackers and we don't build profiles of visitors.

We don't ask health questions, and we don't want health information. Please don't send us any.

Why we use it

To send what you ordered, give refunds and answer your emails (to carry out our agreement with you). To keep order records for tax (a legal duty). To email you about Iron Gut meal plans if you signed up for the cheat sheet (with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time). To keep the site running and secure (our legitimate interest).

Marketing emails

You only get them if you asked for the cheat sheet or bought a plan. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed.

Who we share it with

Gumroad, for orders and payments. Klaviyo, which keeps the sign-up list and sends our emails. Cloudflare, which hosts this site and forwards mail sent to our support address. Proton, where we read and answer your messages. Google, for the fonts. We don't sell your information and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing.

Where it is kept

These companies store and process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different privacy laws from yours. They use standard contract terms and their own safeguards for those transfers.

How long we keep it

Order records for as long as tax law requires, usually five to seven years. Your email address on our list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. Emails you send us for up to two years.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent to marketing. Email support@theirongut.com and we will act within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for asking.

If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to your privacy regulator: the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in Australia, the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK, or the data protection authority where you live in the EU.

Children

This site and our books are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.

Cookies and "Do Not Track"

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set a security cookie, and Gumroad sets its own cookies when you open its checkout. Because we don't track you across sites, the site behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
